The 2018-19 season has been one for the books for the U13 girls team. What started off as a season of building fundamental basketball skills culminated in a brilliant showing at Ontario cup and a spectacular win in the bronze medal match.

Coming off an undefeated gold medal win at the MUMBA tournament in March, the girls were ready to keep their win streak alive at Ontario cup. The first major tournament for all the girls on the team, they showed grit and heart in a win against the DK Dragons (33-20). Saturday morning was a tough loss for the team, falling to the Windsor Valiants 31-15, but the girls bounced back in true Lords fashion, defeating the Burlington Force 35-30. This set the stage for a bronze medal finish and did the girls bring their A-game. Determined to medal in their final tournament the team the team roared to a 51-31 victory over the GladiatorS.

This season has been one of growth and development for all players on the team. Each athlete has shown tremendous improvements and the coaches are so proud to round out the season with a couple medals and a top notch team!
