Game Recaps:
Game 1
Toronto Lords vs Centre Wellington Celtics
We kept the score close for the majority of the game. The game was very close and intense. By half time everybody’s hearts were 100% in the game and team work was amazing. Players started to assist each other on fast breaks, set each other up for nice shots. People tried their best to box out and get offensive and defensive rebounds. At the end of the game the score was 35-27. WE WON!!!!!! By Jessica #12
Game 2

Are 2nd game we played we faced the Halton Hills Rebels. We kept them at zero for most of the first half because we had amazing defense and we boxed out and rebounded. The teammates on the bench and fans in the stands were cheering and kept the players on the court energized, excited, and happy. We played with heart and desire and we were determined to win, at the end it all paid off because we won by 30. At the end the score was 37-7. And we even have a new mascot. By Sydney #9
Game 3
Toronto Lords vs Cambridge Centaurs
What an intense game. Played with such heart and determination. At one point we were down by one. But by keeping our heads up and in the game, we were victorious. Knocking down fouls shots, executing our plays, boxing out hard for rebounds even though height wasn’t at our advantage, attacking the basket with confidence and working together as a team. We showed where determination can get you, which led us to be the undefeated team of the day, 3 and 0 ! By Rebecca #10
Game 4 – Semi Final
Toronto Lords vs Lindsay Wildcats
Today we played Lindsay Wildcats in the semi final. The game today was terrific. We all were ready to play hard and win. In the first quarter we got off to a great start and gained a comfortable lead. We rebounded great and got back on defense. We played great help defense and the best thing was we worked as a team. The final score was 41-24. By Svea # 11
Game 5 – Gold Game
Toronto Lords vs Gladiators
Our team fought a tough battle this weekend at the Blessed Sacrament tournament. We won our first 4 games in a row which led us to the division 7A gold medal game. The team we played was a difficult team. We had faced them before and lost by 30+ points. All the players, parents, and coaches’ energy level was outstanding, everyone was so supportive and ready to win. This support helped us feel energized. We only lost by 13 points and improved on breaking the press. We started right from tip off and worked really hard. Everyone had a lot of fun, both when they were playing or cheering from the bench. We achieved 2 out of our 3 goals in our game plan and we won the silver medal. We’re so happy with the turn out.
