Qualifying as the wildcard with a 2-1 record, and their only defeat coming in an incredible 4 Overtime game vs Collingwood, the Toronto Lords Major Midget Girls team was not to be deterred in their hunt for their first medal of the year.  While the eventual champion Kanata Cavaliers proved to be too much, they were able to come back in the 3rd place game and defeat the Barrie Royals to claim third in the home team tournament.  Great work […]

Junior Women Earn 4th Place at the Toronto Lords March Madness Tournament

An exciting weekend of basketball resulted in the Toronto Lords Junior Women advancing to the semi-finals after a perfect 3-0 start to the weekend, with victories over the Durham City Chameleons, Collingwood Trailblazers and Belleville Spirits.  In the medal rounds the short bench of the team would prove too much however, as they dropped games to the Blessed Sacrament Adachi team and the Guelph Phoenix.  With the 3 wins, the Junior women evened their record at 5-5 on the year.
