With the season ending provincial championships tournament schedule out, the players were excited to be travelling to London, Ontario to compete for Provincial Gold. Feeling confident and ready to play from all their hours in the gym and working on their games, the boys came prepared. The Toronto Lords Gold U16 girls team showed their incredible improvement at their most recent tournament, going undefeated and capturing a gold medal in the process. Along the way they had two epic contests with the Blessed Sacrament Abella U16 girls, ranked #9 in the province, winning the first game by 5 and then the rematch in the gold medal game by 2 in a last second defensive stand. Toronto Lords Under 10 Boys win Gold!
It was a cold but nice day when the Under 10 Boys team traveled to Cambridge to compete in the Centaurs tournament. First up were the Mississauga Monarchs team, which they had lost to in a heart-breaking fashion the week before. This past Sunday at Hoopdome the U14 Lords boys had a very successful day, winning both games, and never trailing in the second game. Ball movement, defense and hustle worked to the Lords advantage. Jaiden Deroche had a big day scoring as well as some timely steals that were crucial to both victories. Congrats to the U14 boys on their hard work and we wish them continued success going forward.
